The game against Roosevelt was very interesting. This game was on September 11 at Roosevelt High School. The fact that both JV and varsity won against this school is great. When the game became tied a couple of times I thought the girls would give up a little, but they pushed, but didn’t have to do it very much.Varsity won 25-14 in the first set and 25-16 in the second set.  During the game, the JV team was told not to cheer for their team by a boy from the opposing team.  Maybe he was upset that our girls were winning.  Who really knows?  What I do know is that the girls shrugged off what the boy said and continued to cheer for varsity. Afterwards I spoke to varsity player, Junior, Middle Hitter, Arionna, about how she felt about the game. I asked her did she think the school was competitive and she replied that school isn’t as competitive as they thought they would be and although they had a few good plays they weren’t really a match for us.I asked her what was her overall feelings about the game and she said she felt as if they might have had few good players who were good at spiking and blocking they made too many mistakes. Finally I asked her what did she think about the score and she said that it was too close.  “We didn’t capitalize on the moments where we should have. We have to minimize our mistakes, sot that we can consistently play at a high level.”
