On August 31st we went against U-City and won 25-14.We might have won but on September 5 we went against Clayton high school and lost 25-22.The team might have lost but they tried their best and had the JV and freshmen team there to cheer them on.There were nice blocks and spikes from senior and varsity player Brianna Brock also great passes from Iyanah.I talked to Varsity player Antoinette Neal about the U-City game.”I believe the team was playing really well, we were communicating, moving our feet and serving really well”.I go on to ask her did she think of U city as a competitive school and she replied, “I believe they are very competitive because of their good hitters.” She goes on to say how fast the game moved because how good both teams are. I continue to ask her about herself as a player and what position she plays.”I start as a left hitter and I see myself as a team player”,but she adds in that Brianna Brock is the best team player of them all. In regard to the game against Clayton, she says, “It was close, but we could have won. Although Clayton is a good team they made a lot of little mistakes that we could gain from. Although the girls were losing they didn’t give up. They pushed till the end and tried their best till the game ended. We have to give credit to our team players. When we are doing bad they try to uplift the team we need it most. We might have lost but we learn from our mistakes.
