“My whole mindset is to win” 12th grade Jeresha Barber stated as she spoke about her upcoming tennis game. A positive mindset and a whole lot of teamwork keeps her team pushing through. ”If I go out with the mindset to win, I won’t lose, I’m not worried about who I’m competing with” as she further went into detail about what keeps her focused going into her game. When she described her teamwork she explained how great they work together and how they balance each other attitudes out. As I continued interviewing Jeresha I learnt more about tennis that I really didn’t know. When I asked about their current record she stated they don’t have a normal record like any other sport, every game is individual. Jeresha and Rukaya went to districts Tuesday where they took outstanding victory. With their next game being this Thursday, Jeresha says that her plan to keep on winning. She plans on continuously playing tennis throughout her years in college. When asked what’s one thing she like about tennis she stated how tennis has no referees which can also be a negative because of “cheating”.  Jeresha seems real determined about her sport and has a spark in her eyes talking about it that displays how passionate she is about not only making herself proud, but the MSB Bulldogs as well.
